Below are listed some of the various glues and adhesives--what they will and won't do for you. As with all items you may use in your scrapbook and card making, read the manufacturer's complete directions and be aware of any limitations the individual product may have. And by no means is this list complete. Every craft and scrapbooking supplier has many products to choose from.
When you find a specific product you like that works well for you, it might be wise to stay with that product. You may find several products that do different things better than another, so you will have several glues and adhesives in your supplies

Glue and Adhesive Providers
Avery Dennison
Permanent Glue Sticks:
Avery has a full line of permanent and removable formula adhesives. They go on with a diappearing color and white and dry colorless. They are perfect for use on paper, carboard, fabric and photos. Acid-free and photo safe. Non-toxic and ACMI certified. Washes out of clothing.
Glue Pens:

Disappearing Color Glue Sticks:
These glue sticks have the same properties as the permanent glue stick above, except that it rubs on purple and dries clear. This allows you to see where you have glued. ACMI certified.
Removable Glue Sticks:
As noted above, this glue stick has removeable properties. The glue makes any paper self-sticking and removable--allows you to shift your glued item and replacing it where you want it...it readheres. Has great long-term temporary adhesion. ACMI Certified.

Pritt Stick:
Since 1969, Pritt Stick is the ideal clean, quick and accurate way of sticking paper, cardboard and photos. Pritt is the world market leader and the originator of glue stick. (Note: This adhesive is available from the United Kingdom)
The Pritt Stick is available in three sizes:
- "Small" (10g) is well-suited for children and for gluing smaller areas, edges, and corners.

Power Pritt Gel or Stick:

PowerPritt Gel is solvent-free, PVC-free, odourless and washable at 60°C, which makes it suitable and safe for children over 6 years of age.
Multi-Purpose Glue:
Transparent solvent-free multi-purpose glue for daily repairs and crafting.
It's strength and versatility is as high as the classic solvent-based multi-purpose glue: It glues felt, fabric, cork, leather, wood, metal, glass and many plastics (excl. PE/PP), photos, paper and cardboard.
Apply glue on one side onto a clean, dust free surface. Press objects together firmly.
In the case of non-absorbing materials, please apply the glue on both sides and let it dry for 5 minutes. Then press both sides together firmly.
This multi-purpose glue is solvent-free, PVC-free and washable with cold water.

Just stick your item to the Sticky Dots sheet or tape, peel it up, and stick it to your project. Total coverage without getting your hands sticky! This mess-free adhesive is Acid Free and quite easy for any age to use. Perfect for die cut letters and shapes, wooden shapes, flowers, and other 3 dimensional items.
Reuse the sheet until all the dots are gone.
Sticky Dots come in sheets of 4.5” x 5.5” and 8.5” X 11” or a roll of 3/8” tape.
